James HAWLEY 
James was born on August 11th, 1781 in Of Stffrd Co., VA.1 James' father was Francis Marion HAWLEY and his mother was Sarah HUDSON. His maternal grandparents are George Hudson and Sarah Elizabeth Jennings. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Francis Hedgeman, William Eluza, William Lloyd, Linford Rodney, Sanford Rodney, William Augustus, John Burbin, Thomas Carroll, Addison, Anney, Millinda, Matilda, Pensicola and Pensicola. He was the oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 59 on August 9th, 1841 in Falls Creek, Sullivan, Tn.2 General Notes
