John Thomas Greer

John Thomas was born on May 5th, 1849 in Ballard, MO, BATES CO. John Thomas' father was Moses Greer and his mother was ELIZEBETH Powell. His paternal grandparents were EZEKIEL (SR) Greer and Jemima Saunders. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named James Edward, William Henry, Josiah EZEKIEL, Greenberry, Moses MacKay, Fleming Reed, Benjamin Franklin, Booker Powell, Christopher Dewitt, Mary Jane, Sarah Ann, Jemima ELIZEBETH and Amanda HASALTINE. He was the sixth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 48 on October 1st, 1897 in Butler, MO, BATES CO. He was buried in MT OLIVET CEM.
