James Monroe Greer 
James Monroe was born in July 1854 in LONGWOOD, MO, PETTIS CO. James Monroe's father was Davis Greer and his mother was Orpha SWOPE. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Greer and Mary Frances Divers. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named William W., Jefferson D., Jesse Benjamin, John H., George Hiram, Joseph Wright, Earnest, Mary Francis, Sarah ELIZEBETH, Susan and Ellen Louise. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 87 on January 11th, 1942 in OLATHE, MO, JOHNSON CO.-
