Mathilda was born about 1080.  Mathilda's father was Hugh I Magnus the Great de Crepi of France and her mother was Adelar de Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry I Capet of France and Matilda of Germany; her maternal grandparents were Herbert IV of Vermandois and Adela Vexin de Valois. She had two sisters named Agnes and Isabella Capet de Crepi of.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died after 1111.
