Agnes was born about 1244 in Derby, Derbyshire, England.  Agnes' father was William III de Ferrers and her mother was Margaret de Quincy.  Her paternal grandparents were William II de Ferrers and Agnes de Keveliock of Chester; her maternal grandparents were Roger de Quincy and Helen MacDonald de Galloway. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert, William IV, Margaret (Joane), Berta and Elizabeth. She had seven half-sisters named Alianore, Agnes, Isabel, Jean, Sybil, Agatha and Maud.  She died after May 9th, 1281.

‌Agnes and Robert II were married in a religious ceremony about 1276 in Bicknor, Kent, England.  They had a daughter named Hawyse.
