Amica was born in 1090 in Gloucestershire, England.  Amica's father was Robert FitzHammon and her mother is Sybil de Montgomery.  Her paternal grandfather was Hamon le Seneschal de Crevecoeur; her maternal grandparents were Roger II de Montgomery and Mabel Talvas de Alencon-Belleme. She had a sister named Mabil.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died at the age of 67 in 1157 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.
