Thomas Stanton was born on February 26th, 1873 in Kanawha County, Virginia. Thomas Stanton's father was LaFayette M. Shaver and his mother was Eliza Virginia Martin. His paternal grandparents were Paul Shaver and Caroline Sarah Harper; his maternal grandparents are Dioclesian Martin and UNKNOWN Catherine. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Jesse Martin, William B., Marcus Lafayette, Andrew Johnson, Dioclesian Martin, James Hayes, Josephine, Rosilla C., Virginia Elizabeth, Nancy Alice, Scynthia F. and Minnie G.. He was the third youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 76 on April 3rd, 1949.General Notes
