John Russell Shaffer 
John Russell was born on April 28th, 1895. John Russell's father was Peter Shaffer and his mother was Martha Martin. His paternal grandparents were George E. Shaver and Isabelle Rodgers; his maternal grandfather was Shedrick Martin. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edgar Peter, Luther Lewis, Loyd E., Loubertia, Ittol E., Bessie F., Josie and Cronie. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named George H., Elizabeth, Zoria C. and Becky. He died at the age of 68 on April 7th, 1964 in Ohio.-
