be Elizabeth Hammer or Hammers of Pendleton County.
UNKNOWN and Christopher were married in a religious ceremony before 1793 in Virginia. They had two sons and two daughters, named George E., Peter, Elizabeth and Mary.

George E. was born on May 6th, 1793 in possibly Greenbriar County, Virginia (now West Virginia). He died at the age of 56 on December 23rd, 1849 in Walker's Meadows,Greenbriar County, Virginia (now West Virginia). He was buried in Soule Chapel Cemetery, Rupert, Greenbrier County, West Virginia.
Peter Shaffer
Peter was born on February 24th, 1795 in Blue Sulphur Springs, Greenbrier County, Virginia. He died after 1842 in Nicholas County, West Virginia.
