Johan Adam Knappenberger 
Johan Adam was born on July 11th, 1769 in Macungie Township, Pennsylvania. Johan Adam's father was Johan Henrich Knappenberger and his mother was Anna Margaretha Desch. His paternal grandparents were Johan Michael Knappenberger and Catherina Heilig. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Conrad, Johan Philip, Johann Jacob, Johan Henrich Jr., Johan George, Daniel, Anna Margaretha, Maria, Catherina, Rosina and Lydia. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 61 in 1830 in Sparta, Livingston County, New York.General Notes
