Mary Eliza Gordon 
Mary Eliza was born on July 6th, 1862 in Vermillionville, La Salle County, Illinois. Mary Eliza's father was Samuel Gordon and her mother was Susan Ann McDowell. Her paternal grandparents were James Gordon and Mary Bratton; her maternal grandparents were James M. McDowell and Eliza Daniels. She had five brothers and six sisters, named George R., Leroy, Levy, John Harrison, Wiley James, Rosa Jane, Sarah Rebecca, Ophelia Grace, Ella Belle, Emma May and Francis Marion. She was the second oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 84 on November 4th, 1946.-
