Ella Belle Gordon 
Ella Belle was born on March 19th, 1873 in Vermillionville, La Salle County, Illinois. Ella Belle's father was Samuel Gordon and her mother was Susan Ann McDowell. Her paternal grandparents were James Gordon and Mary Bratton; her maternal grandparents were James M. McDowell and Eliza Daniels. She had five brothers and six sisters, named George R., Leroy, Levy, John Harrison, Wiley James, Mary Eliza, Rosa Jane, Sarah Rebecca, Ophelia Grace, Emma May and Francis Marion. She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 90 on December 13th, 1963.-
