John Harrison Gordon 
John Harrison was born on August 2nd, 1870 in Vermillionville, La Salle County, Illinois. John Harrison's father was Samuel Gordon and his mother was Susan Ann McDowell. His paternal grandparents were James Gordon and Mary Bratton; his maternal grandparents were James M. McDowell and Eliza Daniels. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named George R., Leroy, Levy, Wiley James, Mary Eliza, Rosa Jane, Sarah Rebecca, Ophelia Grace, Ella Belle, Emma May and Francis Marion. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 52 on August 9th, 1922.-
