Maria Margaretha was born on September 22nd, 1761 in Lynn Township, Lehigh or Allemangel, Northampton, Pennsylvania. Maria Margaretha's father was Andreas Volck and her mother was Maria Margaretha Romig. Her paternal grandparents were Andreas Volck and Anna Catharina Meckel; her maternal grandparents were Johann Adam Romich and Agnes Margaretha Bernhardt. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named Heinrich, Johannes, Johan Adam, Johann Georg, Johannes, Andreas, Anna Maria, Infant Daughter, Christina, Anna Catherina, Maria Magdalena, Johanna and Infant Daughter. She was the fourth youngest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 90 in 1851.General Notes
