George Thomas Tubbs 
George Thomas was born on December 11th, 1893 in Wallis, Austin Co., Texas.1 George Thomas' father was Leon Ernest Tubbs and his mother was Nancy Cornelia Johnston. His paternal grandparents are William Tubbs and Caroline Bluff; his maternal grandparents were James Woodall Johnston and Sarah Sophia Harry. He had ten brothers and four sisters, named Albert Jennings, Homer Henry, Omer, Leon Ollie, Lee Ernest, Walter Edward, Arthur Chester, Alfred, Clyde Erwin, James William, Mamie Ethel, Thelma Elizabeth, Hazel and Beulah May. He was the oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 58 on August 12th, 1952 in Galveston, Galveston Co., Texas.1 General Notes
