Martha Skaggs

Martha was born in 1840 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.¹ Martha's father was Solomon Skaggs and her mother was Martha Prather. Her paternal grandparents were William David Skaggs and Margaret Hoover. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William Solomon, Moses Riley, King Solomon, Susan Margaret, Sarah, Cynthia Jane and Mahala. She is the second youngest of the eight children.
