Monroe Ritchie 
Monroe was born in January 1894 in Knott Co., Kentucky.1 Monroe's father was Alexander Ritchie and his mother was Lucinda Combs. His paternal grandfather was John Ritchie and his paternal grandmother is Sylvania Sizemore. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, David, Martha, Mary Ann, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 74 in February 1968.1 General Notes
