John Marion Polk 
John Marion was born on September 16th, 1876.1 John Marion's father was James Marion Polk and his mother was Margaret E. Basham. His maternal grandparents were John Marion Basham and Margaret Elizabeth Hinds. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Homer Ernest, Charles Frederick, Archie Dean, Lorene Juli, Norma Laurie, Mary Sophrona, Effie, Alice Elvira, Edna, Etta Irene and Edna Margaret. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 70 on July 20th, 1947.1 General Notes
