Sarah Dowell 
Sarah was born on October 14th, 1791 in BEDFORD CO., VA.1 Sarah's father was Micajah Dowell and her mother was Frances (Fanny) Meador. Her paternal grandparents were George DOWELL and Margaret \\; her maternal grandparents are Ambrose Meador and Francis Hicks\Hix. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Elijah, Nehemiah, Littleberry, Drinkerd, Claibourne, Mary "Polly", Frances, Lettisher "Letitia" and Malinda. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Drinkard and Letitia. She died at the age of 81 on June 7th, 1873 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky. She was buried in Freedom Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.2 1 General Notes
