Mary "Polly" Dowell 
Mary "Polly" was born on July 15th, 1787 in BEDFORD CO., VA.1 Mary "Polly"'s father was Micajah Dowell and her mother was Frances (Fanny) Meador. Her paternal grandparents were George DOWELL and Margaret \\; her maternal grandparents are Ambrose Meador and Francis Hicks\Hix. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Elijah, Nehemiah, Littleberry, Drinkerd, Claibourne, Sarah, Frances, Lettisher "Letitia" and Malinda. She was the oldest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Drinkard and Letitia. She died at the age of 72 on June 12th, 1860 in OLVEY, IL.1 General Notes
