Nehemiah Dowell 
Nehemiah was born on December 30th, 1793 in BEDFORD CO., VA.1 Nehemiah's father was Micajah Dowell and his mother was Frances (Fanny) Meador. His paternal grandparents were George DOWELL and Margaret \\; his maternal grandparents are Ambrose Meador and Francis Hicks\Hix. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas Elijah, Littleberry, Drinkerd, Claibourne, Mary "Polly", Sarah, Frances, Lettisher "Letitia" and Malinda. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Drinkard and Letitia. He died about 1889. He was buried in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.2 1 General Notes
