George Clayton Davidson 
George Clayton was born about 1775 in North Carolina.1 George Clayton's father was Alexander Davidson and his mother was Jane Henrietta Clayton. His paternal grandfather was Joseph Davidson and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Lambert; his maternal grandparents were George Clayton and Sarah Lambert. He had four brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Thomas B., James, Obediah S. and Sarah M.. He was the oldest of the six children. He died about 1827 in Obion, Tennessee.1 General Notes
