James Davidson 
James was born about 1793 in Iredell Co., North Carolina.1 James' father was Alexander Davidson and his mother was Jane Henrietta Clayton. His paternal grandfather was Joseph Davidson and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Lambert; his maternal grandparents were George Clayton and Sarah Lambert. He had four brothers and a sister, named George Clayton, Joseph, Thomas B., Obediah S. and Sarah M.. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died in Tennessee.
