Grady Irving Bassham 
Grady Irving was born on July 9th, 1920 in Sharp Co., Arkansas.1 Grady Irving's father was Cecil Irving Bassham and his mother was Mary Ann Reavis. His paternal grandparents were James Richard Bassham and Louise Josephine (Lou) Rhodes. He had four brothers named Earnest Benton (Twin), Forest Clinton (Twin), Ella Mae (Twin) and Della Faye (Twin). He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Kenneth Delbert, Tracy Calvin, Living, Living and Living. He died at the age of 72 on July 7th, 1993 in St Louis, St Louis Co., Missouri.1 General Notes

Grady I BASSHAM
Grady I Bassham, 72, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, July 7, 1993 at De
ac oness West Hospital in St Louis. He had been in poor health for two mo
nth s. Mr Bassham was born on July 9, 1920 in Arkansas. He was retired fr
om t he Missouri State Highway Patrol after 35 years in the communicatio
ns divi sion. He was a member of the Highway Patrol Quarter Century Clu
b, the Nor thside Senior Gospel Choir, and Westwood Baptist Church, whe
re he serv ed as a deacon. Mr Bassham had been a HAM radio operator for ye
ars. He w as a World War II Coast guard veteran.
On July 8, 1949 he married Gladys Bennett. She died Dec 30, 1984. He l
at er married Regina Burton on Sept 10, 1985. She survives. Also survivi
ng a re four children, Randy Bassham of Poplar Bluff, Mary Jane Berg
en of Munic h, Germany, Jean Ann Lindsey of Rives, Mo., Margie Kay Bassh
am of Bartlet t, Tenn.; one brother, Clinton Bassham of Salem, Ark.; thr
ee sisters, Op al Adams of St Louis, Fayh Klar of Texas, Beulah Anders
on of St Louis; a nd seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 7 P.M. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The fun
er al will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday at Westwood Baptist Church with the R
ev Ste ve Proctor officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Bluff Cemetery. O
