John Ellis Basham 
John Ellis was born on May 13th, 1875 in Richmond, Ray Co., Missouri.1 John Ellis' father was Franklin Pierce Basham and his mother was Frances Octavia Griffey. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel (Nathan) Basham and Elizabeth Campbell. He had four brothers and four sisters, named George Allen, Henry Clark, James 'Arthur', Clayburn, Mary Elizabeth, Elsie L, Rosa Ann and Beulah. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 82 on December 24th, 1957 in Richmond, Ray Co., Missouri.1 General Notes
