Katheryn Francis was born on October 31st, 1901 in Richmond, Ray Co., Missouri.1 Katheryn Francis' father was John Ellis Basham and her mother was Mamie Sutphin. Her paternal grandparents were Franklin Pierce Basham and Frances Octavia Griffey. She had two brothers and a sister, named Ray, Living and Mary Elizabeth.
