Her paternal grandparents are Johannes Winkler and Margarethe Rebscher; her maternal grandparents are Jacob Winkler and Anna Johanna Herbel. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Peter, Charles, Catharina, Elisabetha, Margaret Rachel, Katharine, Elizabeth and Sophia. She was the youngest of the nine children.General Notes
