Henry PLANTAGENET 
Henry was born on July 13th, 1267 in Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England. Henry's father was Edward PLANTAGENET and his mother was Eleanor DE CASTILE. His paternal grandparents were UNKNOWN PLANTAGENET and Matilda UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Ferdinand DE CASTILE and Johanna Of PONTHIEU. He had three brothers and eleven sisters, named John, Alfonso, Edward, Eleanor, Julian Katherine, Joan, Margaret, Berengaria, Mary, Isabella, Alice, Elizabeth, Beatrice and Blanche. He was the third oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 7 on October 14th, 1274 in Merton, Surrey. He was buried in Westminster Abbey, London, England.General Notes

Henry II was a catholic and in 1171 with papal authority h
e invaded Ireland via Waterford in an effort to establish C
atholicism there. His army swifty conquered the south eas
t up to Dublin. He then summoned a meeting of church leade
rs and dictated Papal demands. ~They agreed with little ar
gument and left appointing officials and a chief justice t
o put Ireland under English law. He proclaimed himself Lor
d of Ireland but allowed Roderic to remain King.
Allegedly had Thomas a Beckett the Archbishop of Canterbur
y murdered.
