Eleanor was born in 1244 in Castile, Spain.  Eleanor's father was Ferdinand DE CASTILE and her mother was Johanna Of PONTHIEU. She had four brothers named Fernando Of, Luis Of, Simón and Juan.  She died at the age of 46 on November 24th, 1290 in Grantham, Lincoln, England.  She was buried in Westminster Abbey, London, England.


Eleanor's first family with Edward PLANTAGENET

‌Eleanor and Edward were married in a religious ceremony on October 18th, 1254 in Les Huelgas Abbey, Burgos, Castile.  They had four sons and eleven daughters, named John, Henry, Alfonso, Edward, Eleanor, Julian Katherine, Joan, Margaret, Berengaria, Mary, Isabella, Alice, Elizabeth, Beatrice and Blanche.
