Isabel was born on October 9th, 1200 in Pembroke Castle, Wales.1 Isabel's father was Margaret MARSHAL and her mother was Isabel DE CLARE. Her paternal grandparents were John MARSHAL and Sybil FITZ PATRICK; her maternal grandparents were Richard DE CLARE and Aoife/Eva MACMURROUGH. She had eight brothers and seven sisters, named William II, William, Richard, Gilbert, Walter, Anselm, Anselm/Ambrose, Gilbert III, Margaret, Maud, Eve, Joan, Sibyl, Sybil and Eva. She had a half-brother named Roger. She died at the age of 39 on January 12th, 1240 in Berkhampstead. She was buried in Beaulieu Abbey, Hampshire.1 1 General Notes
