Margaret was born in 1385 in Upholland, Lancashire.  Margaret's father was Thomas DE HOLAND and her mother was Alice FITZALAN.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas DE HOLAND and "Fair Maid Of Kent" JOAN; her maternal grandparents were Richard "Copped Hat" FITZALAN and Eleanor PLANTAGENET. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Edmund, John, Eleanor, Joan, Elizabeth and Bridget.  She died at the age of 54 on December 30th, 1439 in St. Saviour's, Bermondsey.  She was buried in Canterbury Cathedral.

‌Margaret and John "Fairborn" were married in a religious ceremony before September 28th, 1397 in Upholland, Lancashire, England.  They had four sons and two daughters, named 2nd Earl Of Somerset, Duke Of Somerset, Thomas, Edmund, Margaret and Joan.
