Mary BROOKS 
Mary was born in 1793 in PENNSYLVANIA. Mary's father was Benjamin BROOKS and her mother was Elizabeth H. HAWKINS. Her paternal grandparents were Cornelius BROOKS and Miss HENDERSON; her maternal grandparents were Joshua HIGGINS and Mary QUICK. She had six brothers and three sisters, named David, Jeremiah, James, Joseph, Benjamin, William, Jane, Rebecca and Margaret. She had two half-brothers named John and Washington. She died at the age of 77 in 1870 in *.General Notes

I am new to this geneology thing and I am having so much fun!! Being an only child, it is fun to find so many cousins I've never known!! I know that these families came from the Cameron County area and I have gotten a lot of info from the History of Cameron County book (which I purchased from the Historical Society). I would love any help for these names. And I would be more than happy to share my files too! Thanks to Mike for all his guidence!! He has done a fantastic job!! I know that I come from the John Barr Sr. (b 5/1/1751 d 8/22/1833) and his wife Mary Elcock (or Alcock), their ggggranddaughter Mary Fidelia Barr married McClellan D. Miller, their son Thomas Henry married Phoebe Grace Crum who was the great granddaughter of Richard D. Crum and Mary Brooks who was the daughter of Benjamin Brooks and Elizabeth Harkins. Some how it all ended up to me and I am in Texas, so making the meetings is a little hard!! But if I ever have the time..... Thanks for letting me ramble!!

looking for info on a Richard D. Crum born 2.4.1763 in Westerly, RI. He moved to Shrewsbury, Monmouth Co, NJ and married Mary Brooks in 1831. His father was a William Crum(b) who married Jerusha Edwards. He was b. 1740 in Westerly RI. I have conflicting info that says Richards father may have been named Cornelius?? Any info on these ppl would be a great help, thanks very much
