Richard was born about 1004 in Neuville sur Toque, Normandy, France. Richard's father was Baldric 'the Teuton' D'Aunou and his mother was Muriella de Normandy. His paternal grandfather was Charles Carolingian; his maternal grandparents were Richard I 'The Fearless' and Concubine. He had two brothers and a sister, named Fulk, Robert and Gunnor. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother named Nicholas. He died about 1066.-
