Matilda W. Hope 
Matilda W. was born about 1805 in Hanover County, Virginia. Matilda W.'s father was Richard Hope and her mother was Frances Terrell. She was an only child. She died about 1867 in Haywood County, Tennessee.
‌Matilda W. and Prof. Harrod John were married in a religious ceremony on November 6th, 1817 in Hanover County, Virginia. They had six sons and six daughters, named Dr. Harrod Clopton, Thomas, Edmond, John, Horace Franklin, Monroe, Virginia Sophia, Mary Frances, Virginia, Harradine, Lucy Ann and Comelia.

Dr. Harrod Clopton was born on June 4th, 1827 in Culpeper, Hanover County, Virginia. He died at the age of 61 on October 27th, 1888 in Haywood County, Tennessee.
