Ola Charity was born on November 15th, 1887 in Perry County,Indiana. Ola Charity's father was Judge Emery Terry and her mother was Margaret Jane Walters. Her paternal grandparents were Elias Terry and Eleanor Sandage; her maternal grandparents were Adam Walters and Annara Cunningham. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Marquis Mayfield, Judge Gardner, Russel E., Herschel Leslie, Lester Faye, Cordelia May, Leora Gertrude, Virginia Annara, Elsie Bertha, Cora Ellen and Ethia Dell. She died at the age of 65 on September 24th, 1953 in Long Point,Illinois.General Notes
Married without full approval of their parents, they eloped, walking down the
railroad tracks into English, IN. She had a very good singing voice but
chose marriage to "Wash" over an opportunity to a singing career, offered by
