William Walters 
William was born on October 4th, 1802 in Pennsylvania. William's father was John Walters. He was an only child. He died at the age of 85 on June 27th, 1888 in Perry County,Indiana. He was buried in Lily-dale Cemetery,Perry County,IN.General Notes
Member of Church of Christ. In 1834 the family migrated to Washington
County, Ohio and settled in Liberty Township, mear Germantown. Mr Walters
was chosen first Township Officer 2-April-1838. In 1848 William and John
Walters set aside ground for a cemetery in what was know as Pawpaw Valley
Cemetery. November 1869 William with some of his children and families left
Marietta OH on flat-boats and came down the Ohio River to Perry Co. IN. The
trip consumed several weeks. He was a farmer.
‌William and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony in Washington County,Ohio ? can't find a record. They had six sons and five daughters, named John, Amos Ambrose, Adam, Nathan, William, Jeremiah, Martha, Mary A., Lydia, Phebe and Sarah E..
