Robert Shipley III 
Robert was born in 1758 in Virginia. Robert's father was Robert Shipley Jr. and his mother was Sarah Dorsey. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shipley Sr. and Elizabeth Stevens; his maternal grandparents were Michael Dorsey and Ruth Todd. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Edward, George, Rachel, Ann, Naomi, Lucy, Margaret, Mary and Nancy. He died at the age of 51 in 1809 in Halifax Co.,Virginia.-
