Edward Shipley 
Edward was born in 1758 in Virginia. Edward's father was Robert Shipley Jr. and his mother was Sarah Dorsey. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shipley Sr. and Elizabeth Stevens; his maternal grandparents were Michael Dorsey and Ruth Todd. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, George, Rachel, Ann, Naomi, Lucy, Margaret, Mary and Nancy.-
