Ranulf III of Chester, known as de Bricasard  & Meschines, was born about 1065 in Briquessant, Livry, France.  De Bricasard  & Meschines' father was Visc. Ranulf II of Bayeux and his mother was Maud (Margaret) of Avranches.  His paternal grandparents were Visc. Ranulf I of Bayeux and Alix of Normandy; his maternal grandparents were Visc Richard Goz of Avranches and Emme of Conteville. He had two brothers named de Bricasard  & Meschines and William of Skipton.  He died in Cheshire, Ches, England..

‌de Bricasard  & Meschines and Lucia were married in a religious ceremony about 1098.  They had a son named Ranulf of Chester.
