Stephen HOOPES 
Stephen was born on July 27th, 1786 in Goshen Twp., Chester, PA. Stephen's father was Nathan HOOPES and his mother was Ann SPEAKMAN. His paternal grandparents were Nathan HOOPES and Margaret WILLIAMSON; his maternal grandparents were Thomas SPEAKMAN and Elizabeth UNDERWOOD. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Elisha, Elijah, Moses, Amor or Emmor, Enos, Lewis, Sidney, Susanna, Elizabeth Hannah, Ann, Margaret and Lydia. He was the youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 90 on January 9th, 1877 in Goshen Twp., Chester, PA.-
