Her paternal grandparents were Jesse BLISS and Fanny TUTTLE; her maternal grandparents were Charles BIRD and Mary Ann KENNEDY. She had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Wilford Norman, Henry, Edgar Francis, Norman Ingles, Sanford, Alfred Fisk, Elizabeth, Lucy Ann, Almeda, Fanny Melvins and Lillie Cecelia.
