Richard II was born on January 6th, 1367 in Abbey St. Andre,Bordeaux,Gironde,France and his baptism took place on January 9th, 1367 in St. Andrew's Church,Bordeaux,Gironde,France.  Richard II's father was Edward "The Black" England and his mother was Joan Princess of England.  His paternal grandparents were Edward III, King England and Philippa Hainault; his maternal grandparents were Edmund, Prince of England and Margaret Wake. He had a brother named Edward.  He was the younger of the two children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas II, Edmund, John, John, Joan and Maud.  He died in Pontefract,Yorkshire,England,Pontefract Castle.  He was buried in Westminster Abbey,Middlesex,England.
