Edward "The Black" was born on June 15th, 1330 in Oxfordshire,England.  Edward "The Black"'s father was Edward III, King England and his mother was Philippa Hainault.  His paternal grandparents were Edward II, King England and Isabelle, Princess Of France; his maternal grandparents were Guillaume III de Avesnes and Jeanne de Valois. He had three brothers named Lionel, John "Of Gaunt" of and Edmund "of Langley".  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 45 on June 8th, 1376 in Westminster,Berkshire,England.  He was buried on September 29th, 1376 in Canterbury,Kent,England,Canterbury Cathedral.
