Joscelin de was born about 1127 in Egmanton,Nottinghamshire,England and his baptism took place in Also Of Louvaine,,Belgium.  Joscelin de's father was Godfrey "A La Barbe" Lorraine and his mother was Ida Comtesse de Namur.  His paternal grandparents were Henri II, Comte de Louvain and Adele (Alix) of Thuringia; his maternal grandparents were Adalbert III Count of Namur and Ide (Relinde) Saxony. He had a brother and a sister, named Godfrey II and Adeliza Of.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-sister named Ida Princess Of.  He died before 1180 in Egmanton,Nottinghamshire,England.  He was buried before September 29th, 1180.
