Maud (Mathilde) of was born about 1145 in Clermont,Beauvais,Oise,Picardy, France.1   Maud (Mathilde) of's father was Renaud II de Clermont and her mother was Clemence Of BAR-LE-DUC.  Her paternal grandparents were Hugh I De Creil Clermont and Margaret de Roucy; her maternal grandparents were Renaud I Count of Bar-le-Duc and Gisele de Vaudemont. She had a brother named Simon I de , Count d'Ailly. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Alberic II and Mathilda von.  She died in October 1200 in London,Middlesex,England.1

‌Maud (Mathilde) of and Alberic II were married in a religious ceremony before 1180.1   They had three sons and four daughters, named Simon de Dammartin II , Count de Aumâle, Renaud de Dammartin, Raoul, Juliana, Agnes, Alice and Clemence.
