James Pollard was born on January 17th, 1836 in GA.1 James Pollard's father was Alexander D. McEwen and his mother was Malinda Payne. His paternal grandparents were James Hill McEwen and Martha Ann Snead; his maternal grandparents were Pollard Payne and Sara Elizabeth Franklin. He had three sisters named Louisa Antoinette, Martha Elizabeth and Sarah Jane. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Thomas, Alexander Hamilton Stevens, William Franklin, Mary Melvina and Nancy Caroline. He died in ?.1 General Notes
