James C. Logan 
James C. was born on September 30th, 1839 in Coosa Co., AL.1 James C.'s father was Ellis Logan and his mother was Amanda M. Wood. His paternal grandparents were Henry Logan and Martha Ann George; his maternal grandparents were James Wood and Mary Reneau. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Napoleon B., George M. Dallas, Richard Loyall, Ellis, Jr., Commodore, Martha Eudora, Julia Ann, Mary Jane, D. Alabama and Virginia. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He had six half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named John, Alonzo, Claud, William, Addison Clarion, Amazon, Ella Armand Bell, Ursula, Ida, Ada, Fanny, Vera Dell and Erdele. He died at the age of 22 on May 14th, 1862 in Richmond, VA.1 General Notes
