Her paternal grandparents were Henry Logan and Martha Ann George; her maternal grandfather was Thomas Swanigen. She had a sister named Vera Dell. She was the younger of the two children. She had twelve half-brothers and ten half-sisters, named James C., Napoleon B., George M. Dallas, Richard Loyall, Ellis, Jr., Commodore, John, Alonzo, Claud, William, Addison Clarion, Amazon, Martha Eudora, Julia Ann, Mary Jane, D. Alabama, Virginia, Ella Armand Bell, Ursula, Ida, Ada and Fanny. She died at the age of 87 on March 16th, 1984 in Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa Co., AL.1 General Notes
