Martha was born about 1763 in NC.1 Martha's father was John Castellaw and her mother was Martha Sarah Butler. Her paternal grandparents were James, Sr. Castellaw and Sarah Williams. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, John, James C., Elizabeth, Prudence, Sarah and Penelope. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Bartholomew, John Dawson, Henry Dawson, John William, Thomas Jefferson, Charlotte, Nancy W. and Harriet. She died in ?.1 -
