Thomas of Leswalt obtained his degree at the University of Edinburg July
27, 1663. He preached at The Presbytry of Dunfemline in April 1691. He
was minister at Leswalt from 1692 until his death in 1703. He was a
member of the Assembly January 15, 1692. Reference: Fasti (Register)

Various will by Thomas identify Katherine Hutcheson as his wife as well
as his children, James, William, Elizabeth and Bethia.
One researcher who has been Sterling, Scotland said that she found three
gerations of Castellaws buried in one chruch yard there.
The will of Thomas Castellaw was not recorded when he died, but in 1715
his daughters recorded it to collect a debt Robert Pollock owed their
father. In it is found the following:
"Mr. Thomas Castellaw minister of the Gospel at Leswalt & Kathorine
Hutchosone his spouse."
"James Castellaw indweller in Paislai & Katherine Veitch his spouse."
James is called his brother and his heir. "Elizabeth Castellaw Lawful
Eldest Daughter of the Said Mr. Thomas Castellaw." Elizabeth and Bethia
Castellaw Daughters----- & wards of kin to the Defunct & William Houston
in mains for Carloton husband to the said Bethia the remainder among my
two Duaghters and my Sone James, and my Sone William."
